I am a postdoctoral research associate working with Dr. E.C. Brummer. Currently, I am working on population structure, genetic diversity in wild diploid alfalfa accessions; structure of linkage disequilibrium (LD) and applicability of genomewide and candidate gene based association mapping approaches in alfalfa. Evaluating cell wall components and mapping of cell wall constituents with SSR and SNP markers in the context of biofuels are other aspects of our work.

I am also interested in effective usage of genetic resources, socioeconomic outcome of genetic technologies, and sustainable agriculture.

I am a Land Institute Fellow.
